Georgia Board of Medicine Delays Action on Telemedicine Rule
Posted over 12 years ago by Christen Standiford
Good afternoon NPPCG Members,
We are happy to report that the Composite Board of Medical Examiners did not take a planned action to approve a proposed rule regulating telemedicine that would have lead to resctricted access to care for patients in addition to restricting the ability of APRN's and PA's to care for patients using telemedicine. This rule was referred back to its committee. Further action will not occur until January.
Thank you very much to Ashley and Laura for this information. Thank you to our members who participated in giving feedback to legislature about this important topic.
