SB 386 Is Moving Forward!

Posted over 13 years ago by Christen Standiford

Thank you again everyone who took the time to contact their representatives! The bill to remove the “life threatening situation” restriction from APRN ordering of MRI, CT and Nuclear Medicine scans passed despite opposition from organized medicine.  A number of Senators who voted for the bill said that communication from the nurses in their districts at home was the deciding factor in their vote. SB 386 now “crosses over” to the Georgia House of Representatives, and the process from committee assignment to a floor vote starts all over. As there are fewer legislative days until the end of this year’s session, everyone’s help will be needed again. So…CELEBRATE today. And stay tuned because your efforts and all of support you can rally in your communities will be needed for ultimate success in getting this bill passed and signed by the Governor.

Please continue to communicate with your representatives!

Please thank the Senators who supported us with their “Yea” vote
