Hello APRNCG Members,
Happy March - paint the town green month! We hope you are doing well as we move past winter and make our way closer to spring.
Since our last update, we have confirmed sponsors for our upcoming dinner meetings over the next few months. A special thank you to our generous sponsors and to Executive Council member Analicia for coordinating these events.
A quick reminder: when you RSVP for our dinner meetings, sponsors use the count we provide for budgeting, and the restaurant uses it for preparation. When members RSVP and are unable to attend without notice, it impacts our sponsors and prevents other members or guests from filling those spots.
We completely understand that schedules change - we simply ask that you notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel so we can offer your seat to someone else. We will continue opening RSVPs to active members for the first 48 hours and then to guests afterward. Thank you for doing your part to help us remain thoughtful stewards of these generous sponsorships!
Upcoming Events:
March 12, 2026, dinner meeting at Local 11Ten - RSVP here for our March event
April 9, 2026, dinner meeting - location TBA - RSVP here for our April event
May 14, 2026, dinner meeting at Cohen's Retreat - RSVP here for our May event - Happy Nurses Week!
Pending Events:
APRN Insights: Wisdom from the Field - tentatively planned for April/May
An online event hosted by APRNCG designed to support nurses who are new to practice as APRNs or new to the Coastal Georgia area. Join us as seasoned local APRNs share practical guidance on navigating the RN-to-APRN transition, Georgia licensure and practice requirements, and the realities of starting practice in a new community.
Support for UAPRN
Thank you again to our members for your decision to continue supporting United APRNs of Georgia. On behalf of APRNs of Coastal Georgia, we are pleased to make a donation to UAPRN to support their important work advocating for APRNs throughout Georgia and the people we serve. We look forward to continuing our partnership in support of APRNs statewide.
Opportunity to Participate in Research
Georgia Southern University is seeking participants for a research study exploring clinicians beliefs regarding the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in clinical practice. We have sent out this flyer before, so if you have already participated - thank you! If not, please consider taking a few minutes to do so. Please see the attached flyer for details.
Job Opportunities
Galen School of Nursing in Savannah is looking for 7 full time faculty for their ADN program.
That's all for now! See you soon!
