APRNs of Coastal Georgia was honored to participate in today’s roundtable on healthcare challenges with Nancy Hurlock of United APRNs of Georgia and former Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan, who has announced his bid for Governor of Georgia.

The conversation focused on healthcare policies and cost-of-living issues that affect families and communities across our state. During the discussion, we had the opportunity to share real experiences from our patients — from families in rural areas struggling to find primary care, to seniors managing chronic conditions, to our personal experiences as nurse practitioners providing care in a restrictive practice state, as well as paths to move forward and improve access to care for Georgians.

We are proud to highlight the vital role APRNs play in expanding access to care, addressing health disparities, and supporting the well-being of Georgians statewide. At APRNs of Coastal Georgia, we welcome the opportunity to discuss these challenges with anyone — policymakers, community members, or fellow healthcare providers — because meaningful change happens when we share perspectives and work together.

By connecting with our communities and advocating for policies that improve healthcare access, APRNs are helping ensure that all Georgians have the care they need and deserve.
