November 2023 Update

Hello APRNCCG Members!

We had a wonderful turnout for our last in person dinner meeting of 2023 - thank you for everyone who took the time out of their busy lives to attend! We had an excellent speaker, Luis Polo, NP at a great venue (Cohen's Retreat) with great people (all of YOU!). We celebrated NP week with special gifts for our members and announced the winners for our Fall prizes - two tickets to a Ghost Pirates Hockey Game + swag, APRNCCG bag + cup, and a custom art piece by our very own Melanie Finnochiaro - please see the minutes and our Instagram / Facebook for pictures!

We will not be holding an in person meeting in December. The Executive Council will have a meeting as usual and we will be presenting to you all a "State of the APRN" update regarding how 2023 went, our goals for 2024 and things of that nature - more to come!

We do have our January 11, 2024, dinner meeting confirmed with the sponsor. This will be held at Vic's on the River in Savannah at 6:00pm (not our usually 6:30). We understand parking downtown in that area can be challenging, we are in contact with Vic's to see if we can coordinate with their valet parking team.

As a reminder, with the new year comes a new legislative session. There is a lot going on this year that has the potential to impact APRN practice. You may see urgent emails come across asking for a call to action - please take the time to reply / give your feedback if you can! I have included details regarding the legislation we are following in the minutes. 

Lastly, please take a few minutes to review the attached minutes from our November 2023 business meeting. They are detailed for your viewing for those members who were unable to attend the meeting in person. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have feedback or need anything! We have also started an Amazon Wish List for those items we are hoping to use for outreach in 2024 - more to come!.
