July 2023 - Update

Hello APRNCCG Members!

We had an excellent June meeting and the Executive Committee carried that momentum forward into our recent July EC meeting! Please take a moment to review the minutes from this meeting. 

Analicia has had several representatives reach out who are interested in sponsoring a meeting. We continue to plan for a Members Presentation meeting on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at GSU - Armstrong campus again and will hopefully confirm that soon. We anticipate having a sponsored meeting on Thursday, October 12, and possibly in August. We still plan for a casual, APRNCCG sponsored family friendly "bring a friend!" type meeting for November during NP week - please let us know of any suggestions as to where we should go!

We have had a lot of forward momentum with community engagement. One of our members was able to (on very short notice) attend the Georgia Senate meeting here in Savannah along with two UAPRN representatives, and we look forward to learning more about her experience and thoughts. 

Another member has reached out to local farmers markets, who have been very excited about our group participating and performing community services and blood pressure checks! We unfortunately did not get the grant for supplies, so Christen is going to look into funding what we need. We will also of course need volunteers, so please keep this in your thoughts.

The logo re-design is coming along well. We received a lot of excellent feedback during our June meeting and our graphic designer has completed a second draft - please let us know your thoughts!

As always, thank you for your support and the amazing energy you all bring to our group. We are very excited for how far we have come these last few months as well as what comes next!
