Calls for support needed!

Hi all,

It is crunch time politically. We must step up our game. See below--Make your calls to these key legislators. Have your family and friends call to support this key bill for our professional practice to move forward. Please email me after you call them so I know how many have gotten thru. Get on twitter, social media. The rural area wants and needs health care. They need nurse practitioners to care for them!!!

Important Change/Update, Unterman has just decided that SB 351 will be discussed again on Tuesday Feb 20th, at 1 pm Room 450 State Capitol. Not enough time between now and this Thursday to make changes on bill. She also wants to give everyone a chance to testify that didnt have time.

We will need to continue FLOODING with calls/emails to committee members especially Ligon, Cowsert, Jackson, and Butler. We need to have daily presence at Capitol as well. Julianna said a MAG bigwig was spotted at Capitol, and that means they are bringing in the "Big guns". Unfortunately we heard feedback from a supportive Senator on HHS that he is getting more calls OPPOSING SB 351 than Supporting, so you know MAG has mobilized their Grassroots fully having MDs call in addition to spouse, family, friends, We must to the same through Next Tuesday Feb 20th.

We need to be using SOCIAL MEDIA to the MAX, Twitter, FB, etc (Unterman is glad to see us on Twitter more in the last day or so). We are working on posting MD testimony on social media to inspire Nurses to make those calls.

Calls from Constituents are especially needed.

We are looking at really pushing for calls from people in:

• Brunswick (Ligon) 
• Athens (Cowsert), 
• Lithonia (Bulter)
• Savannah (Jackson)
