Legislative Updates
Posted over 12 years ago by Christen Standiford
Hello NPPCG Members!!
As you know, it is that legislative time of the year! Our colleagues over at the UAPRN have been keeping us up to date with all the changes (see below). Please take the time to join the UAPRN's group - http://uaprn.enpnetwork.com/ - so that you can stay up to date.
- Please take the time to contact your Senators who are part of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee - these are the members who will be a part of SB 94, which will remove the current restrictions on ordering CT and MRI scans unless there is a "life threatening situation." Please see the sample letter that will be posted, and use this as a guide towards contacting your senator. Phone messages can also be left at their offices in Atlanta, even on evenings and weekends.

- Thus far, SB 94 has unanimously passed in the Professions Sub-Committee of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee. We need your support to continue to push this through!
- Please continue to send Laura Searcy (laurafsearcy@gmail.com) SPECIFIC examples of why this is important and how your practice is impacted by this bill.
Thank you!
